Hi, and welcome to my website!
My name is Sil Munnik, and I am a travel and adventure photographer. I spend much of my time exploring and capturing the beauty of Europe and Asia, both for myself and for clients. In my personal projects, I love focusing on people and culture. I’ve had the privilege of visiting a jungle tribe in Indonesia, documenting Hindu culture in Varanasi, India, capturing the majestic Himalayas in Nepal, and immersing myself in the lives of the Sámi people in Swedish Lapland.
Beyond cultural photography, I have a deep passion for landscapes and wildlife. For clients, I primarily photograph adventure experiences, such as multi-day “into the wild” canoe and kayak expeditions, trekking journeys in Scandinavia and the Alps, trail running events, Arctic winter activities, mountaineering in the Himalayas, and wedding shoots in extraordinary locations. Over the past year, my work has been published in several outlets, including: National Geographic Tear-Off Calendar Travelbase Coffee Table Book K-JAK Magazine And other exciting projects
For me, the greatest part of photography is the adventure behind every shot.
Enjoy!
